Nitrous Oxide Sedation Course Sedation is routinely used in dental offices to relieve tension and stress in a patient who falls in the category of an anxious individual. Therefore, one can employ inhalational anesthesia in a safe method. Nitrous oxide and oxygen inhalational anesthesia to sedate and relieve certain amounts of pain will be outlined. This one-day course contains both didactic and practical hands on participation involving the use of nitrous-oxide administration. It is useful for practitioners who want to feel comfortable in utilizing these particular modalities in their office. To meet the potential need from the dentist and dental hygiene profession, yet recognize the need for appropriate class sizes therefore positions are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. NEW: As of Fall 2011, participants will be required to purchase the textbook “Sedation: A Guide to Patient Management” 5th Ed., by Dr. Stanley F. Malamed ISBN: 978-0-323-05680-9.
