In an ever-changing and fiscally challenged healthcare environment, questions always arise regarding what can healthcare professionals do to ensure evidence-based, quality and needed care is provided in a manner that contributes to overall improvement in health and maintains the safety and well-being of the population.

This 11^th Alberta Dental Public Health Conference focuses on elements of our practice that ensure delivery of “Value-added Healthcare” through dental public health practice, an often over-looked and underappreciated component of the overall healthcare system. Oral health is inextricably linked to our general health and well-being and although small in numbers, dental public health workers make huge efforts and contributions to maintain the health of Albertans.

Those participating in this will have opportunity to hear the latest regarding safe, ethical practice, network with colleagues from across the country and be part of a long-standing, dedicated, dental public health learning community.
