In an ever-changing and fiscally challenged healthcare environment, questions always arise regarding what can healthcare professionals do to ensure evidence-based, quality and needed services are provided in a manner that contributes to overall improvement in health and maintains the safety and well-being of the population.
This CAPHD Conference will focus on health promotion and how to strengthen the evidence-base around development, implementation and evaluation of these types of services. Discussion will occur as to the current state of dental public health in three countries and what the future might hold for each of us working in this field. Time will also be spent looking at what the ideal oral health-care system might look like and how we can move ourselves more in that direction and we will look at new directions being taken locally in Alberta with the Oral Health Action Plan. The conference will highlight as usual, the scientific abstract sessions where researchers and practitioners from across this nation will share current information about cutting edge science and how it might impact on the work we do in dental public health. Those participating in this will have opportunity to hear the latest science, network with colleagues from across the country, socialize together and be part of a long-standing, dedicated, dental public health learning community. FEES: Early Bird Deadline - September 19, 2011
CE Credits: Participants who are attending both full days of this conference will be credited 11 hrs CE Credits.
