Appointments:
Teaching takes time. Appointments are typically 2 1/2 to 3 hours long. Several visits may be required to complete your dental hygiene care. It is important that you are available to receive treatment at different times during a week.

If you need to cancel an appointment, at least 24 hours notice must be given to our clinic. To cancel appointments please call the DH clinic at (780) 492-4458.

Continued cancellations jeopardize our students’ progress. For that reason, during the sequence of your treatment regime, if you miss up to three appointments we may stop your treatment.

Babysitting services are not available and individuals who are not being treated by a student are not allowed on the clinical floor.

Fees and Dental Insurance
Fees will be charged for all dental hygiene services performed, however, they are greatly reduced from those in private practices, because of an educational subsidy.

Payment must be submitted at each appointment for the treatment received. The clinic will accept cash, cheque, debit card, Visa
®, or Mastercard®.

If you have dental insurance coverage, please bring your insurance coverage information/insurance card to your first appointment.

You will be responsible for paying the costs of the dental hygiene services provided.

Your Insurance Form will be submitted to the insurance provider and your will be reimbursed by them once the treatment has been completed.

Please be aware that your dental insurance may not reimburse you for all your treatment costs, in this case, you will be responsible for paying the additional costs.

If you have concerns with your fee payments; you must discuss this with your assigned student or the clinic staff prior to receiving any treatment.
