Entrance Requirements
Candidates for the MSc degree in Medical Sciences are accepted under the general regulations of the Medical Sciences Graduate Program. Completion of a DDS or equivalent degree is required, with a grade point average of at least 3.0 (or equivalent qualification) in the last 60 units of course weight of their dental program.
The program is research-oriented, consisting of didactic courses, original research carried out under supervision, and preparation and completion of a thesis. It is not a clinical program leading to clinical specialization and is unrelated to licensure. Admission to graduate programs is dependent upon the recommendation of the department’s Graduate Committee.
Candidates should be prepared to support themselves for the duration of their selected program, although funding from scholarships and studentships may be obtained on a competitive basis.
NOTE: Applicants to the program must identify a willing faculty supervisor, a potential thesis topic, and potential funding. This information will be attached to your application for further consideration by the admissions committee.

Proof of proficiency in the English language is required if English is not your native language. For proof of English language proficiency, the applicant must take one of the following tests and receive a satisfactory score of:
- TOEFL paper-based score of 570
- TOEFL computer-based score equivalent of 230
- TOEFL internet-based score equivalent of 95 (with at least 20 per section)
- CAEL minimum score of 70 with at least 70 on each subtest
- IELTS (Academic test) score of 7.5 with at least 6 on each band
